When the Iraqi Tribunal finally put Saddam Hussein on trial, he yelled out
“I am the legally-elected President of Iraq, I do not recognize your authority”.
Defiant, and fruitless, for he was tried and hanged for ordering the executions of Shiite men after their failed revolt following the 1st Gulf War.
But he had a point.
It was true [...]

I just read about a gang rape that happened to a young girl on Richmond High School grounds during the Homecoming dance. She was brutally raped while people cheered the rapists on, and the girl was left for dead under a bench. The only reason Police got on the scene was when someone overheard a couple of the rapists reminiscing about it. The Richmond PD will catch the Rapists and the Watchers, they will go on trial, a number of them will go to jail. Justice will prevail and numerous lives will be shattered.

I picked up a hermit crab, and, spotting the sharpie, wrote the number ‘1′ on the back of his shell, and put a circle around it. I repeated this act whenever I felt a bit lonely,” Flake wrote. Later, he added, “I’ve labeled 102 at this point with a sharpie marker. I just saw number one again today. He’s remains one of my favorites, as is number 12, long since forgiven for pinching my toe.

At first, there is a panic. Tokyo’s early warning radar picked up Godzilla. The news propagate, cell-phones ring and people wonder what to do. Then more news, Godzilla is 4 hours away.
People relax. Coffee houses fill up. People talk about Godzilla while watching the news. Office workers have time to write and file one more update, or two. Subways continue running. Tea houses, noodle houses, sushi bars fill up. There is time to leave.

Go0gle created the first global climate tour, and from there can go to anywhere. What would be great is to have forms you can fill in to play with the numbers and see an apocalyptic Earth. That’s probably coming in the future.
And now, Global Warming? Google is adding tours to show the effects of global warming on the planet using data from climate research computer models.

Here is a little known fact. Many of the grand projects once the sole property of NASA and other gov’t agencies are now being carried out by individuals like you and me.
Think about Burt Rutan’s Scaled Composites. Never heard of him? Burt and company built Voyager, Global Voyager and SpaceShip One. It’s still a small [...]

This Labor Day weekend, the scenario from Jaws came to life. Monomey Island off Cape Cod had recently become populated with Seals. And Great White Sharks have been sighted. Monomey Island is only a mile away from the very beaches portrayed in the movie. The beaches were closed.
This time, it’s a different story.
